If you are flying from Caribbean, in all probability your transit point will be Miami. Bahamas is served by non-stop flights from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Melbourne, Orlando and Tampa.

You can even opt for traveling in trains via Amtrak if you live along the Silver Meteor/Silver Star routes from New York through Washington to Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa or Miami. If you are living in the Washington D.C. area you can also drive to Lorton, Virginia and then hop into the Auto Train to Sanford along with your car. Besides flights, trains and cars, there’s one more mode of transport, the Greyhound bus service which have buses operating to and amongst most cities in Florida.
