The Beachview Steakhouse and Grill is known for its thick succulent steaks and delicious seafood served in an tranquil ambience.
The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, designed by Mark McCumber, has a 18-hole, Par 70 golf facility. Book tee times to avoid a last minute disappointment. It is not the easiest of golf courses and water comes into play in all 18 holes. Located in the middle of a wildlife preserve, it gives golfers an opportunity to see alligators, osprey, bald eagles, and blue herons. The Sanctuary at Wulfert Point is a private, 18-hole, par-72 golf course. |

Best Times to Visit Sanibel Island |
Every season of the year has something to look forward to in Sanibel Island. The most crowded months are March and April, and not without reason. The weather is near-perfect with the temperature staying below 75° F. The Sanibel Music Festival in March is an added attraction.
If you want to plan a vacation away from the crowds, plan a vacation during the winter months. You will not be disappointed as rental rates are low and the weather just a wee bit chilly, nothing that a little extra packing won’t solve. |

Getting To and Around Sanibel Island |
| Southwest Florida International Airport, in Fort Myers, is barely 45 minutes away from Sanibel Island. Nearly all major airlines operate flights to and from this airport. Drivers should take Exit 21 off Interstate 75 west to Summerlin Road. While driving from the north take Interstate 95 South to Interstate 4. It would be difficult to get around Sanibel Island without a car, so in case you are not driving, contact a car rental service in advance. |
