Spanish, Minorcan, British, Greek, African-American and many other cultures take pride in showing their contributions to the region. Concerts, art shows, special performances and exhibits provide irresistible reasons to visit. Street fairs here attract many tourists. This year, Florida’s First Coast Birding and Nature Festival will be held from May 11 to 14. Photo safaris, digital travel tips, garden walks, talks, kids’ adventure trips, etc are part of this festival. Birding tours, workshops, etc are organized regularly on the beach. Ponte Vedra beach offers a wide variety of cuisine serving American, Italian, delicious seafood and barbecues. They are mostly casual dining restaurants but reservations are suggested on weekends and few offer carryouts. Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a popular dinner venue on Ponte Vedra Beach and offers market fresh seafood, cooked to perfection and some exotic desserts. Some good restaurants are also located in St. Augustine and St. Augustine’s Beach. Some restaurants, such as The Raintree Restaurant at St. Augustine, have a dress code, so check this out when you are going in to the upscale places.

Many restaurants in St Augustine also have entertainment. Visitors to The Reef of St Augustine can enjoy pop, folk, jazz nights at the restaurant. Some of the events in the region are held at night. For instance, Nights of Lights Festival, to be held from November 26 to January 31 and will have a million lights illuminating the city of St Augustine, making it a memorable sight.  Best Times to Visit Ponte Vedra Beach

Ponte Vedra Beach enjoys a year round mild climate. Hot, humid summers and warm, mild winters attract many visitors to this area. Though unexpected rains are an all-year phenomenon here, the official rainy season runs from May through October, and September is the rainiest month of the year. Winters are sunny and mild, with cool and balmy evenings. Summer temperatures range from 70° F to 89° F while the winter temperatures range from a high of 63° F to a low of 45° F.

Summer is the best time to visit Ponte Vedra Beach. You can, however, plan your vacations all round the year to play your game of tennis or golf in the world-class courts and golf courses or choose from your favorite water sport, like sailing, parasailing, jet skiing, and more. Most vacation rentals charge higher rates from July to September, which is usually a good time to visit the beach. However, September is also the wettest month of the year and the rainy season lasts from May to October.
