Rentals charge a plus 11% Florida Sales & Use Tax, besides a refundable security deposit. A fee of 3.9% is also charged for International payments made by credit card through Paypal. In some rentals smoking is strictly prohibited. Violators risk the forfeiture of security deposit if a cigarette stub is found or even if cigarette smell is detected. From the north or south, you can travel on Interstate I-75, take exit 143 (old 26) onto State Road SR78, west until you reach the most western end of the road. At this point, you will be at the Center of Pine Island. The closest airports in the area are Page Field (FMY) located about 15 miles east of Pine Island in Fort Myers, Florida, and the Southwest Florida International airport (RSW) located approximately 22 miles east of Pine Island in Fort Myers, Florida. |
